We recently came up with a smart process to launch new products on a Magento store. Quick sales and higher ranking on Google is now easy, just follow these simple steps.
- Add new product in the admin, and fill up the required information i.e. name, description, etc.
- Label the newly added product as “Coming Soon” on your website catalog. The product page should have a user interface that accepts name and email of customers who are interested in the product.
You might be wondering how this can improve search engine ranking and help you grab quick sales? 🙂
– The point#1 of the process allows you to submit product page to search engines quite early. It gives the search engine enough time to crawl and index the page in the search results.
– The point#2 allows you to send an email to the customers as soon as the product is in stock. Interested customers are notified that the product is available now.  🙂
Here’s a perfect example on how this process works.
Let us consider that Amazon will launch an iPhone 8 and adds a product page on its site about it. The page shows a countdown timer that shows the clock ticking, and prompts the eager visitor to subscribe to email notification. Once the product is LIVE, each one of the visitors will receive an email with the product link. It gives them an instant opportunity to purchase the much awaited iPhone 8.
Now, you might be thinking it all seems interesting. Â But how exactly should I do this on my store as native Magento doesn’t allow to label product as ‘Coming Soon’.
