Customers are always happy to receive a Welcome Gift from the Store owner. And in the era of online shopping, nothing works better than a Welcome Discount (as a “Gift” may be called).
For your ‘New Customer’, you can create a coupon for them to apply at the check-out time making them happier and certain to come back.
You can create new coupon codes for new customers as a welcome discount/ “Gift” by just doing the following:
- While creating coupon code, you will need to mention the condition to be applied to the coupon. Here you can select ‘Yes’ for the condition “Is First Order”. This will let the coupon be applied only on the orders by new customers (who did not have any previous orders).
By applying this feature in your backend, you can delight your new customers with a discount leading to, “Happy Customers! Happy You!
Unfortunately, Magento does not offer this feature originally. You will need to have the extension for the same which, fortunately, we provide (at best cost).
