It is always great to first try a product before buying it. That means trying sample products before buying actual products. People everywhere follow this practice. They want to try things before actually purchasing them, especially in cosmetics, perfumes, etc. Trying things before purchasing helps customers to be certain and more confident about the actual product.
Earlier, this could only be done in physical stores where the samples and the actual products were available. Customers would try the samples free of cost and if liked, they bought the actual product. This was very beneficial for the retailers as well because after trying a product, the customer was confident to buy it (or not), which in turn led to more sales of the product.
However, online shoppers were deprived of this facility. There were very fewer retailers that would provide the samples of their products, that too at high costs. This leads to fewer customers buying the sample as well as the product.
Nowadays people have started selling samples online, that too at affordable prices, leading to increasing online sales. Most of the stores, especially beauty products, cosmetics, etc., are selling samples of their products online.
Also, it is very important to specify which product is the sample product and which is the actual product. To do so, you need to fill the details of the sample product at the admin, like, the title of the sample product, whether the title will be a ‘Suffix’ or a ‘Prefix’, etc.
Unfortunately, Magento does not provide this feature of adding sample product details in your store. Therefore, to overcome this problem of yours, we have developed the extension “Sample Products”.
